Mods exams over! :D
Well, this is a welcome experience.
Well, this is a welcome experience.
On Tuesday and Thursday of this week I had computer science exams – Functional Programming and Design & Analysis of Algorithms on Tuesday, and Imperative Programming I and II on Thursday. They both went about the same – could have gone worse, and could probably have gone much better. I’m not sure what else there is to say, really. I think most people found them easier than me, which probably isn’t a good sign, but my view is that they’re over now and I can worry about the maths exams taking place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
It is a sad, sad truth that, should you do maths / CompSci, you have to:
*repeats to self* It will all be over soon…
I’m not entirely sure what happened to Week 7 this term. I think that, due to excessive amounts of revision and not having any properly defined schedule, the days just drifted past. So, essentially, nothing happened. The only thing of interest I could find was that this week I snagged facebook.com/davidlyness. Awesome.
In other much worse news: exams next week.
With no lectures to remind you what day of the week you’re on, time seems to pass much too fast. Which is good news in the sense that it’s that much closer to summer, and bad news in the sense that it’s that much closer to exams. Revision has been going along steadily, I think every now and then I’m learning something… revision classes organised by the tutors help a lot though – it’s so much easier to revise things when you already understand what’s going on, and just need to make yourself familiar with it.
Other things happened this week, but really in no particular order… so to save time and effort, they’re below in bullet point form.
That just about sums up this week. I’ll leave you with a video which I’m sure you’ll find very enjoyable…
Much of this week (read: all day from Wednesday to Saturday) was taken up by mock exams and revision for said exams. It’d be boring to say too much about that, so I’ll just say that in general they went OK-ish, will probably be able to do better with more revision, and the one module of Linear Algebra that I’ve gotten back so far has at least given me a bit of confidence. Also, since there were only 4 exam slots organised, I had to do one of my computing exams in my own time on Saturday morning in my room. Not impressed.
In slightly more funny news, I witnessed the following outside my window. I have no idea what was going on or why – I only knew that I had to record it so that the world could see.
Ahem.
And something that I’m not sure whether I should be very happy about or very sad about – a trailer for Toy Story 3 has been released, which has rekindled my interest in childhood Disney films.
